Interxion is a leading provider of cloud- and carrier-neutral colocation data centre services in Europe. We support over 1,300 customers through 30+ data centres across 11 countries, enabling these customers to securely deliver mission-critical applications and content to end consumers, with excellent response time performance. Our state-of-the-art data centres provide space, power and cooling with reliability and performance that goes beyond industry standards.

Our head office is in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and we operate in key European cities including Dublin, London, Frankfurt, Paris and Amsterdam. We locate our data centres close to city centres and ensure they have excellent power availability and connectivity. We house more than 450 carriers and Internet service providers and 18 European Internet exchanges.

By colocating their IT infrastructure with us, our customers can cut both capital and operational costs while improving application performance, achieving increased business flexibility and realising the value of community membership.

Interxion Ireland

Interxion has been operational in Ireland since 2001 and currently operate two data centres (DUB1 and DUB2) that are located in Park West Dublin 12. The data centre campus is 6km from the Dublin city centre and 20km from Dublin airport. DUB1 provides 1,300sqm and DUB2 1,700sqm of raised floor capacity. The data centres operate to the equivalent of the Uptime Institute Management’s Tier III certification.

With capacities from 2kW up to 30kW per rack the prime location also offers customers access to some of the highest power density infrastructure available in the vicinity of Dublin with 999.999% availability.

Being carrier-neutral our Dublin data centre campus offers direct access to over 34 carriers and the INEX Internet Exchange. The shared infrastructure of our digital, financial, cloud and carrier communities has allowed our customers to develop mutually beneficial and profitable relationships. Colocation also provides our customers with a very accessible means to engage with market place suppliers making it easier for them to develop, launch and manage new services, and applications.

What have we done so far?

• • We optimise our power, space and cooling systems through modular design, which lets us build large systems from smaller sub-systems.
• • We continue to improve our power usage effectiveness (PUE) through the application of smart design, procurement and operational measures, and we offer our customers individual power metering as standard.
• • We use free cooling wherever we can, and recycle waste heat for other purposes.
